Registration Information


Online Registration for new and returning students will be open June 13 - July 20, 2016.

In order to insure that your child is assigned to a class on the first day of school, parents must complete the online registration prior to July 20, 2016. Your child's classroom and teacher assignment will be available for you to view in the Parent Portal the afternoon of Friday, August 5. For security reasons, class lists will not be posted at school sites prior to the first day of school.


Registration Information for Returning Students

Registration for returning students will need to be completed online through a data confirmation process.  If you currently have a parent portal account, please click the following link and begin the data confirmation process: Parent Portal

If you do not have current parent portal accounts, you will need to contact the District Office and provide an email address for activation of a parent portal.

Registration Information for New Students

Registration for any student who will be new to the Savanna School District will need to be completed online.  Please visit the school boundaries link on this website to determine your child's school of residence (home school) prior to beginning the steps below. 

Step One: Proceed to the link below to complete the online pre-registration form

New Student Registration Form (2016-17)

Step Two: Office staff from the student's home school will contact you to set up an office visit. 

Note that the school offices are closed from June 6 to July 20.  You will be contacted when offices reopen.

 At this office visit, you will need to bring the following information:

a) Proof of birth date: must be provided before the child may be admitted. One of the following documents is acceptable: birth certificate, recorder sworn transcript, baptismal certificate, physician statement of birth, passport showing age or other valid proof of birth.
b) Proof of Residence: One of the following documents is acceptable:

* Property Tax Payment Receipt
* Rental property contract, lease, or payment receipt
* Utility service (electric, gas, etc.) contract, statement, or payment receipts
* Voter Registration
* Pay Stub
* Correspondence from a government agency
* Declaration of residency executed by the parent or legal guardian of a student

c) Immunization records must be originals, stamped by the doctor's office. The school will make a copy to keep on file, with originals returned to the parent. Parents must present proof that the following immunizations have been completed.  Immunization.pdf

Additional Registration Requirements

Physical Exam Requirement for First Grade Students
Students need to have a physical exam within 90 days of starting first grade; however, it may be completed up to 6 months prior to entering kindergarten. Parents are encouraged to have the school physical exam completed and the paperwork submitted to the school office as soon as possible. Appropriate paperwork may be downloaded from the appropriate link below or obtained in your school office.

Dental Exam Requirement for Kindergarten Students
A dental exam is required prior to the end of kindergarten; however, it may be completed up to 12 months prior to entering kindergarten.
