Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP)
The major categories that are addressed in the LCAP include increasing student proficiency, addressing the needs for English learners, increasing student engagement and access to technology, providing additional opportunities for parent input and involvement, offering academic assistance for students in need of intervention, and safe, well-maintained school sites. Meaningful engagement of parents, students, and other stakeholders, including those representing the subgroups identified in Education Code section 52052, is critical to the Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP) and budget process. Multiple stakeholder groups reviewed the draft LCAP, including the annual review, proposed priorities, and action steps. Revisions to the LCAP resulting from stakeholder feedback were made.
The 2016-19 LCAP draft was presented to the Board on May 3, 2016. Following the presentation, a public hearing took place for input and/or comments. The final draft of the LCAP was presented to the Board of Trustees at their regularly scheduled June 14, 2016 Board Meeting at which time it was approved.
